Congratulations to JR

Last night was the night of Stars, as JR became the first person to have won Burtonfests “Stars In Their Eyes” competition for the second time.
The photographs are already uploaded to the website for all to see, click on the “Image Gallery” at the top of the page to see the sights from the evenings entertainment. Unfortunately it will take more than a couple of days to place all the videos online – but rest assured, *all* the performances were caught on tape and will be made available to all.
Can I just add on behalf of the Committee a big thank you to everyone who made the night a fantastic success. We raised our budget for the evening with all the money going towards the Burtonfest 2009 event in the summer. “Stars In Their Eyes” is one of our biggest fund raising events during the year – but when you put it into perspective, it only raises enough money to pay for the Porta-loos for the three day event in the summer. So finally, once again – thank you for everyone who dug deep at last nights event and to those who made it a success.
