Stars In Their Eyes

Can I just start by saying that this years competition was absolutely fantastic, with the hard effort put in by artists and organisers a like making the 2008 event what it was.

“Stars In Their Eyes” is an evening of entertainment along the lines of the TV Show of the same name. Talented local people disappear off into the dressing room, re-emerge through a thick veil of dry ice as a famous singer / group, then sing a song as good as any tribute band ever did. With 12 acts on the night, the judges had their work cut out for them as the artists nervously waited for the winner to be announced at the end of the night. The evening was jollied along by the hosts Bruce and John, whilst over 110 guests filled the Village hall for a very enjoyable evening.

The full gallery of photographs from the evening is already available, but it will take a couple of days (or maybe weeks) until all the videos of the twelve acts are available to view via the Burtonfest website.
